April Update

April has been somewhat productive.  We now have the water and sewer hooked up and all plumbing fixtures installed.  The floors are also finished.  We just have a few odds and ends remaining.  I'm shooting for the final inspection around the middle of next week.  I also hatched some chicks in my incubator in addition to the bantams I got from TSC.  Photos are attached for your perusal.

Water line under creek going to meter.  The PVC lines will be used to drain my sump pumps.

We laid some 4" perforated pipe to try and dry up the front yard a bit.

Bud busting some rock to clear room for the patio.

Finished floors.  We decided not to go as dark as planned since they looked so nice at this point.

Tiled fireplace.

Master bedroom.

Dishwasher and kitchen sink.

Still have to connect range hood.

Cochin, I believe, from TSC.

Another cochin, I believe, from TSC.

Day old bantam.  I think its an Old English Game Silver Duckwing.

Action shot.  I'd say 3/4 of the remaining eggs were not fertilized.

We're Moving In!!! Haha.... April Fools

After reading the title back to myself, I became depressed, even more.

We are still not in.  Bud is supposed to dig water and sewer lines tomorrow.  There was never a gas line ran up to the attic for the furnace, so that's been a pain trying to install.  Also, there was no duct installed for the range hood vent.  Going to have to cut out a bit of already finished and painted sheetrock to make that work.

So, besides several small items remaining, we have the faucet and toilet install, finishing of floors and painting trim (which I hope I can pay someone to do) left.  I'm hoping that in a month we'll be moving in.  I did say hoping.

Here a few pictures of what it looks like now. Not sure if I mentioned in a previous post, but big thanks to John and Robert for the help on the porch.  I wish I had them every weekend.

Ashley's disco ball.

If you look into the master bath, you can see the already installed cabinets had to be pulled back out so the plumber could install the tub.  Another wonderful surprise.

Setting up incubator.
Bantams and red sex-links.
Here's weenie man.  Worthless.
