Downstairs Floor Installation


They began installing the floors downstairs today.  They are 1x6 yellow pine.  The floor joists downstairs change direction in the living room so the floor was going to have to be installed perpendicular in that area.  Since the boards aren't tongue and groove on the ends, this may cause a noticeable seperation in the two areas.  The floor guy suggested running the boards diagonal which would allow a uniform installation and help ease some of the humps in the subfloor.  So, here it is...
